Are you trying to lose weight by eating boring meals? Are you spending hours at the gym? If you have answered yes to either of those questions then I will tell you about three ways to lose weight fast! By the time you have finished reading this article, you will notice how easy weight loss is!

1. Drink plenty of water:

It may sound unbelievable but you can lose at least 7-10 extra pounds just by drinking enough water. The reason for this is that when you don’t drink enough water, your body stores any water it does get. It does this so as to meet any future water scarcity. Your body won’t hoard water like this if it feels that there is an abundance of water. To assure your body of this abundance, experts advise that you should drink at least eight glasses of water daily!

Another big advantage to drinking plenty of water is that it also boosts your metabolic rate. When your metabolic rate is raised you will burn fat and lose weight. Water detoxifies your body by flushing out all the toxins. As a result you will feel better and have healthier, clearer skin as an added bonus.

2. Avoid hunger:

How do I do that – I’m on a diet? If you find that you are always hungry you are either not eating enough or eating the wrong foods. You need to get rid of hunger in order to lose weight. You need to eat foods that will keep you full for a long period of time. Foods that can keep you feeling full are foods that are rich in fiber. These are foods such as apples, lentils, whole grain bread and pasta, legumes etc. Foods such as these will not only suppress your hunger but will also keep your digestive system healthy!

3. Hula Hooping:

If you want to lose weight without exercises, hula hooping is a fun way to do it. All you need is a weighted hula hoop. Just twirl it around your waist for at least one minute at a time. You need to do this exercise for ten minutes everyday, but if you cannot do it all at once, don’t worry. Just do it whenever you find a little time. If you do it only ten times per day, each time spending just one minute on it, you will be able to lose weight. Plus it is fun to do!

If you start incorporating the above three steps into your daily lifestyle, you will soon be on your way to permanent weight loss!

It is important to remember that there is more to weight loss than these simple steps. If you seriously want to lose weight you should also be eating the right foods, adding some physical activities in your lifestyle, etc.

Can walking to lose weight really work? If you want to lose weight quickly, the thought of walking to get rid of that extra weight might seem improbable. After all, walking is just walking, right? Isn’t weight loss supposed to be difficult?

The truth is, the effectiveness of walking to lose weight is relative to where you are in terms of your overall health and fitness levels. When your lifestyle is sedentary, consisting of sitting behind your desk at the office and slouching on the couch in front of the TV at home, any form of exercise will cause an improvement in your health and fitness!

No matter how you twist and turn, weight loss is mainly about burning more calories than you take in. And if walking helps to increase your metabolism, then you will very likely lose some weight! However, there are various ways to walk that will help you lose weight faster.

Why start your weight loss program by walking? Our bodies respond well to activity but need to adjust to working with unused muscles so avoiding pain or strain; and then to increase that same activity to lose weight! So when you are first starting off on a weight loss program, walking is a very good way to start burning fat and create the momentum for more physical activities later on in your life.

Start by walking for 15 minutes, or whatever time you are comfortable with. Slowly build it up to a full one hour walk without increasing your speed. Start by walking a couple of times around the block, then increase the distance of your walks after you feel an increase in stamina. Walking to lose weight is healthy, no doubt. But it’s also a terrific way to get around the neighborhood, meet neighbors, and see things you probably miss while driving around everywhere you go.

Walking to lose weight is one of the best exercises to control weight and burn excess calories. Walking at a constant speed enhances your energy by maintaining a certain level of aerobic activity in your body. Walking to lose weight is the simplest but most effective cardiovascular exercise there is. Walking for a whole mile at a steady medium pace burns up as much calories as jogging for 15 minutes – minus the strain on the knees and ankles too.

Increase the intensity and accelerate your weight loss by doing this. Start out by running for 30 seconds every 10 minutes of the walk. Gradually increase this to a one minute run every five minutes, which would work like this. Make sure when you jog you get your heart rate up and you are exerting your self.

You can also use the treadmill at your local gym, or better yet, if you have one at home. Remember to start your program slowly especially if you are just getting onto a weight loss program for the first time. Eventually, however, you’ll need to increase the intensity of your treadmill walking workouts for maximum weight loss results.

Muscles, especially on the legs will be toned. Muscle weighs far more than fat, so though you might be healthier and in better shape, you might actually gain weight over the first few months! Ditch the scales in favor of a measuring tape if you want to chart your progress. Muscle stretching before your treadmill workouts is very important. Stretching exercises will help you become more flexible and will help prevent injuries as you start to increase the intensity of your workouts.

Walking to lose weight is a daily exercise designed to do what comes naturally. Walking to Lose Weight is also about fitness and when the excess weight is gone it is still going to be an important part of your life.

When you combine walking to lose weight with a healthy and nutritious diet, you are not only going to lose weight, but keep it off in the long run. A healthy lifestyle will do you more good than short bursts of activity.

The way of modern life, fast foods and unhealthy habits eventually show as fat in our bodies. Exercise and healthy diet can keep us fit, but time comes when we have to focus on losing that extra fat we have generated. Fat loss is simply a matter of burning unhealthy body fat, and the formula looks simple: body fat with diet and exercise leads to weight loss by dieting through nutrition blood sugar hormonal response.

Much can be done by simply looking at this matter differently, and understanding that our own attitude and perhaps laziness is working against us. I believe that when we have a problem, any problem, it is good to listen to advice form those who have successfully walked the same path before. So listen up;

Fat loss is not just about a better body and better health, it is actually best brought about with a sensible diet combined with a rigorous exercise program and intelligent supplementation. But this is not easy in the modern busy and demanding times, and fat loss is different with low carb or other methods of weight loss but I still think fat loss is the safest and healthiest among all of these methods. The key to effective belly fat loss is working with your biology. While rapid fat loss is certainly a realistic goal to achieve, many people seek unrealistic techniques of doing it.

For many women, fat loss is a major concern. While for many women, fat loss is a question of appearance, there is more beneath the skin of this problem (no pun intended). It has been found, that in the end for women, fat loss is a challenge for their patience. Here is an example from Beth with her own words, who is following a fitness program and weight loss diet;

For the past 21 days I have been consistent in my routines at the gym, (including my body pump classes, yoga, aqua-fit, and spinning) and have added two 10 minute mini sets to my work day. I thought this is too much for me and I don’t have the power and energy, but something has changed in me and I am able to follow that routine and my vitality is much higher than before. Now I have come to understand that that permanent fat loss is not just a physical condition, but that I will have to struggle with deep seated spiritual and emotional baggage, but once I get on right track, I feel excellent.

That is encouraging! But she is using her willpower and a program, I also happen to know her family supports her, so it’s not automatic in any way.

Back to the subject:

Ultimately, fat loss is not dependent on meat or even protein per se: it is primarily dependent on calories in versus calories out, hormonal control, and metabolic efficiency. Experiments show that an alkaline diet stimulates your body to burn fat fast but healthfully and that easily maintaining your fat loss is the natural result of restoring a normal acid alkaline balance in your body. If we want results with weight or fat loss, we will have to change our routines and move about after meals.

The medicines:

How about weight loss pills and supplements? Here is a quote from one medical article:

Recently completed research has confirmed that Clarinol™ not only easily helps reduce body fat, but that it does so in specific areas of the body where fat loss is most desired without extra dieting or exercise efforts. If a combination of muscle and strength gains with some fat loss is your goal, take 2 or 3 Muscle Mass tablets every 5 or 10 minutes during your training session until you have taken the correct amount for your weight. Because fat loss is not the objective, merely a side effect, it occurs as quickly as the body is able to cleanse the toxins and restore balance to the organs and energy systems.

You read that and you think “wow” – I just take some pills while I exercise and my problems are gone…

The truth however is that most of those pills are not thoroughly tested, they have side effects, and ultimately what comes around goes around. I am strongly against any pills, the effective long term fat or weight loss is achieved by a combination of healthy diet and a good exercise program.

Here is Celina’s mission statement to achieve fat loss;

It’s been a year since I’ve started my body sculpting program, I have fallen off the wagon so many times, gotten back up, worked on my routine & diet again & back off the wagon etc…I’ve been going through a divorce over the past two years & needless to say now is the time when I really need to look good so feel good about myself…My mission statement for fat loss is staying motivated, sticking to my diet on those days when tuna on a bed lettuce doesn’t seem like a rewarding treat at the end of a stressful day & most of all learning to love and help myself.

So there it is – it’s a struggle and strong motivation is needed, we go up and down, but keeping to the routines, it can be done, in fact it is not difficult at all, but we have to change our routines and we need strong commitment.

To conclude:

Easy, permanent, and successful fat loss is something most of us make much too complex. In its simplest form fat loss is realized when we are burning more calories than we ingest. For most of us, excessively limiting our caloric intake in order to facilitate fat loss is just not a viable long-term solution, the real key to successful and permanent fat loss is learning what works for you- and to next never stop making progress in the right direction.

To your health and happiness.

To lose weight fast, the best tip I can give you is to take massive action with a multi-prong approach.

Without going to extremes like surgery or even risking side effects with diet pills, you can lose weight fast in the natural way by focusing on these three areas:

- Change your eating habit

- Walk your way to weight loss

- Be active in your daily routine

1) Change Your Eating Habit

How many calories do you ingest from a typical meal at a fast food restaurant?

If you guess 600 kcal, you’re still short…

A packet of fries at a fast food outlet easily give you more than 600 kcal. And we haven’t even counted the burger and the carbonated drink!

Now, that meal alone gives you much more than you can burn and the excess is then stored as fat. Just imagine how much fat we keep storing in our bodies if we continue to eat the way we do.

In other words, we simply overeat!

So, you simply need to eat less per meal. If you can reduce at least one-third or even half of what you’re eating, you would not stop adding to your body fat.

The rule of thumb is to eat till you’re not hungry at each meal rather than eat till you’re feeling full.

As you eat less per meal, you should eat more meals.

What? Eat more meals to lose weight?

Yes, absolutely! Because if you just eat less per meal, you would feel hungry between meals and your body will think that you’re going through a famine and start to slow down its metabolism. So, eating smaller meals 5 or 6 times per day would not cause your metabolism to slow down unnecessarily.

2) Walk Your Way To Weight Loss

Walk, not run!

Yes, if you think you lose more weight by running, you’re in for a surprise.

Just look at any tread mill the next time you’re at a gym. The fat burning zone is always at typically 55% to 70% of your target heart rate which is lower than the aerobic zone at 70% to 80%.

The reason for this is that when you work out at the higher target heart rate, you would not be able to last. For people who are obese, they probably won’t even last for five minutes and that would translate to perhaps 50 or 100 kcal! But if they are working out at the lower heart rate, they could last for at least half an hour to one hour.

So, if you want to lose weight fast, a ‘quick’ way (or rather slow way) is to take long walks each day for at least 1 to 2 hours! Yes, you need that long duration in order to burn as many kcal as possible.

3) Be Active In Your Daily Routine

Every bodily activity helps you to lose weight including breathing, walking, working, even eating itself needs energy.

What you can do to help to burn as many calories as possible is to increase your incidental activities such as volunteering to do household chores or mow the lawn. Can you imagine how happy your spouse or family members would be?

Yes, move around as much as you can. Even if you’re sedentary most of the time, learn to take breaks after every 30 to 40 minutes and just walk around and do some stretching.

If you can stick to this three prong approach for at least month, I guarantee that you will see results. However, that’s not all. To get more free tips to lose weight fast, feel free to visit my web site.

Weight loss is among the one thing the vast majority of individuals have in common. Many people have good intentions, they are trying to lose weight or are seeking the best methods for losing the weight they want off.

Fast and effective weight loss for the average person can be not only an accomplishment but also a task. However, following a few minor life changes you can achieve the weight loss you desire and deserve.

Although many individuals are eager to buy an expensive gym membership, this really is not necessary. If you plan on working out you can do so without memberships and expensive equipment. For example, exercising can be done in a variety of ways.

Taking a brisk walk before work in the morning is a great way to give your metabolism a jump start for the day. All you need for this type of exercising is a pair of sneakers, which most people already own.

In addition to beginning and sticking with an exercise routine you should look at the foods you eat on a daily basis. Modifying your calorie intake is a key factor in losing weight. Basically, what you need to do to burn the fat is to burn more calories a day than you consume.

This generally will take some time getting used to, however it will prove to be very beneficial for you in the long run. Eat healthier food, such as fresh fruits, veggies and more fiber. Cut down on the amount of sodium, fats, sugars and processed foods.

The beverages you consume are also a factor in weight control. Try to incorporate more water into your beverages of choice. It is best that you eliminate coffee from your diet, however if you must have a cup in the morning that should be fine.

Just be sure that you only have one cup a day. Increasing your water consumption to about 10 12 ounce glasses a day will increase your metabolic activity and help you to burn more calories in less time. It will also assist in flushing your system out and eliminate some of the unnecessary toxins in your body that often lead to weight gain.

Let’s recap just a bit. Fast and effective weight loss can be achieved with a few changes in your life. Basically, watch the foods you consume, exercise to burn more calories a day than you consume and drink plenty of water daily. This really isn’t all that difficult to do and you will soon see the results you desire.

Do you find it almost impossible to stay conscious and contentious about weight and nutrition during the holidays? Of course you do. More than half of all Americans are overweight: You’re not alone.

A new government study might give you a ray of hope though: The study shows that Americans gain only about one pound over the holidays. The study found that people participating were influenced by two main factors over the holidays: The level of their hunger, and the level of their activity. In other words: Those who reported being less active or more hungry during the holidays had the greatest weight gain.

So common sense says: If you can stay focused on dealing with just those two things, you’ll probably win your personal holiday weight loss battle. At the very least, you’ll win by not adding more weight to what’s already waiting to be shed.

“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of weight gain,” says Dr. Samuel Klein, the Director of the Center for Human Nutrition at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. “Preventing the increase in weight is a lot easier and better than actually gaining weight and then trying to get it off again.”

So the answer seems simple: Eat less and exercise more. The reality of implementation of course, is far more difficult.

The good news is that most of the people overestimate how much weight they’d gained over the holidays. Fewer than 10% gain 5 pounds or more.

The bad news is: The small amount of weight gained is never lost. One pound of weight gain is quite a small amount, but since it’s not usually lost again: The weight adds up over time – to obesity.

Now we all know there are tons of tips out and about this time of year, designed to help us keep from putting on that extra pound or two during the holidays. Unfortunately what’s usually not talked about is: The reality of day-to-day holiday stress and situations. Let’s explore the tips… along with their reality checks… in depth:

Weight Loss Tip 1: Stay active. The best thing you can do is try to stick to your normal schedule and routine.

Holiday Reality Check: It’s pretty hard to have any kind of decent routine in the busy months of November and December. Busy people tend to sacrafice yoga classes, long walks, and visits to the gym because they need time for extra things like decorating the house, cooking, cleaning up before the visitors get there, and of course: Shopping.

The Good News: Walking around the shopping mall and stores is great exercise, and so is cleaning the house. In addition to those activities, decorating can be quite intensive too: You’re climbing up and down to hang things; lifting, lugging, and dragging boxes out of storage; bending, twisting and turning to get it all looking just right. So don’t beat yourself up about not making it to the gym… you’re getting plenty of activity and every little bit helps!

Weight Loss Tip 2: Don’t let yourself get too hungry. If you go to a party and you’re starving, everything will look even more scrumptious than normal. And of course, you’ll eat much more because of it. Try starting each day with a good, solid breakfast – particularly something with protein. And when you’re at the party, try muching on the veggies to help keep you feeling full. These two things will help your hunger stay under control, and will in turn help you refrain from “gorging” on anything you see just because you’re famished.

Holiday Reality Check: We’re all very busy during the holidays, and it’s not always possible to remember to eat – let alone eat well – particularly in the morning when we may have already overslept and are now running late for everything. And eating healthy at a party isn’t always possible either: Not everyone in this country serves vegetable plates, salads, or fruit bowls. Sometimes the only things in site are junk: Chips, candy, and cookies.

Here’s a suggestion: Try taking your own veggie plate to a party where you know there won’t be one available. A quick and easy way to do this is simply buy a bag or two of pre-cut veggies and some ranch salad dressing. Alternatively, eat a decent meal before you go to the party. Don’t overdo things, but don’t make it a light snack either. Eating first will help you to just “nibble” a bit on the worst of the holiday treats offered.

Weight Loss Tip 3: Stay away from the food. Literally. Just don’t go anywhere near the buffet table, appetizers, or treats… and you’ll be fine.

Holiday Reality Check: In most cases, the food is everywhere. And even if it’s not right in front of your face, you sure can smell it! Trying to just “stay away from it” is pretty unrealistic – and it can feel like torture for some of us. And for most people: When you can’t have something, you want it even more. So trying to stay away from the food will most likely just make you overindulge worse than you would have otherwise.

Try this instead: Allow yourself whatever you’d like. But with a catch. First: Take only half the amount you normally would. And take just one food item. Eat that and enjoy it without guilt. Then, wait a full 20-30 minutes before you get something else. Then repeat the process: One item, half the portion size as you normally would, enjoy it without guilt, then wait before getting something else.

Allowing yourself to eat gets rid of the mentality of “I can’t have it (and thus I’m more determined to have it)” It lets you enjoy the good food and the holidays, without beating yourself up. This is healthy and can help tremendously with the way you view food and eating in general. Only taking half of it though, will help you not take in as much calories, fat, sugar or other bad stuff you usually avoid. And then waiting 20-30 minutes before you get something else will help your body realize when it’s had enough… or too much. So you’re much less likely to overdo things, and feel horrible physically later.

Weight Loss Tip 4: Wear cloths that are slightly tight on you. This should help you feel full faster, and keep you from eating too much food.

Holiday Reality Check: We want to wear looser cloths because we’re looking forward to eating all that great food! Yes, wearing something tight might help us not go back for a second helping of potatoes… or it might ruin a favorite outfit.

In the end, how you approach this tip is up to you, and you alone. Make your decision and be happy with it.

Weight Loss Tip 5: Keep your portions small. Try to load up on salad and vegetables, and take just tiny amounts of anything else.

Holiday Reality Check: Taking just a “bite sized” amount of anything is going to put you into the have-not mental state mentioned earlier. You’ll feel as if you can’t have something, and you’ll want it all the more.

Try the tip noted above instead: Take half the size you normally would. Trying to have just a little bite of pie will whet your appetite for more, but having a whole piece is going a bit overboard – particularly if there’s 5 different pies for you to sample. So try actual sampling instead: Cut a piece half the normal size. This allows you to have a “whole slice”, and more than several little bites. Then wait about 20 minutes before you go and try the next pie. Even if you end up eating a bit of all 5 pies, by having a half-sized slice of each, you’ve drastically cut the amount of calories, carbs and sugars compared to what you would have had with whole slices. And you’ll still feel stuffed and satiated, instead of deprived and resentful.

So there you have it: 5 different, common holiday weight loss and eating tips, followed by the reality check of each, and a suggested compromise that should help you enjoy the holidays to their fullest, without depriving yourself of the great food we all look forward to.

Whatever you decide to do, remember to actually have Happy Holidays!

For those of us looking for quick weight loss, Halloween can be a scary experience! While just one night of indulgence in Halloween candy might not be enough to break your belt, dipping into the leftover stockpile for weeks on end will surely derail your diet or weight loss program.

In 1921, in Anoka, MN, the United States enjoyed our first recorded instance of a Halloween celebration. Annual candy consumption has climbed almost unabated since then. According to the Census Bureau, Americans eat nearly a half-pound of candy each week for an average of 25 pounds of candy a year. Candy is big business, with the United States boasting 1,040 manufacturing establishments producing chocolate and cocoa products in 2001. These establishments employed 45,913 people and shipped $12 billion worth of goods that year. Another 616 U.S. establishments manufactured non-chocolate confectionery products in 2001. These establishments employed 26,400 people and shipped $7 billion worth of goods that year (source: census.gov).

The overwhelming popularity of the South Beach Diet, Zone Diet, and Atkins Diet has prompted low-carb weight watchers to eat less candy. Overall consumption has actually declined over the last few years; as recently as 1997 the average annual candy consumption was a sky-high 27 pounds.

The Problem:
Most people on a diet plan or weight control program look at candy as little brightly-colored fat bombs. That assessment isn’t far off the mark, either, with most candy packing little nutritional value and a ton of calories.

Some of the more popular Halloween candy has too many calories to be included in any healthy diet:
Twizzlers 1 treat size pkg.= 45 calories
Almond Joy 1 snack size bar = 90 calories
Milk Duds 1 treat size box = 40 calories
Butterfinger 1 snack size bar = 100 calories
Milky Way 1 snack size bar = 90 calories
SweetTarts 1 treat size pkg. = 50 calories
1 Tootsie Pop 1 pop = 60 calories
1 Tootsie Roll 1 small roll = 13 calories

Note: Calorie content is based on 1 serving of Halloween ‘snack’ or ‘fun’ size packages, not full size servings found in the candy aisle.

While just a few pieces of Halloween candy won’t obliterate your diet program or weight loss plan, it’s the temptation to keep having ‘just one more’ that will pack on the pounds. It only takes nine small fun-size candy bars to put on a quarter-pound of fat. Besides candy, Halloween threatens many other high-calorie treats like Caramel apples (243 calories), 8-oz. apple cider and a cake donut (319 calories), or a slice of pumpkin pie (240 calories).

The Solution:
Is it possible to cope with the menace of Halloween candy without taking all the fun out of the holiday? Absolutely! If you’re looking for fast weight loss, and don’t want Halloween to bring your fat loss to a screeching halt, consider these healthy Halloween tips:

1. Walk with your kids while they’re trick-or-treating. A 165-lb. woman strolling along (walking slowly) for one hour will burn approximately 150 calories (source: caloriesperhour.com).
2. Out of sight, out of mind. When the kids have unloaded their stash, store it in an airtight container and put it in the cupboard. A bowl full of candy on the counter is an open invitation to have ‘just one’, but a stockpile you can’t see is less tempting.
3. If you’re going to give out candy to trick-or-treaters on Halloween, don’t buy it until October 31st. Having a candy supply in the house before Halloween only entices you to have some early.
4. If you must buy candy before Halloween, buy a kind you don’t like. Again, this will reduce the temptation for you to dig in.
5. Hosting a Halloween party? Supply vegetables, healthy dips, and low fat snacking alternatives instead of candy.
6. Set a Halloween candy deadline by which all Halloween candy must be either consumed (by the kids) or it will be thrown away. Saving that candy for weeks, or even months, only keeps temptation in the house.
7. Put more emphasis on dressing up in a great costume, and less on candy. This is especially true for the kids, who often view Halloween as a candy free-for-all dream come true.
8. By hosting a party on Halloween night, you can control the menu and have fun with friends at the same time.
9. Focus on Halloween activities other than eating. There are lots of options available, from hayrides to haunted houses to bonfires.
10. Candy has a long shelf life, and there’s no reason why you couldn’t put some of it in airtight bags and store it in the freezer. Allow the kids to take out one bag every two weeks until it’s gone. This tactic will at least space out the temptation and minimize candy binge eating.

Of course, the absolute best way to avoid weight gain, and perhaps even achieve some easy weight loss, during the Halloween season is to bump up the amount of exercise you’re getting. There’s no better way to lose weight fast than a healthy diet and regular exercise.

Make sure the workout you’re doing includes both aerobic and resistance training, as it is critical to get both types of exercise to maximize weight loss. It’s also important to exercise for at least thirty minutes, three times per week, which is the most recent recommendation by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (source: cdc.gov).

A fantastic strategy is to find the best weight loss program for you now, before Halloween hits. The reason is that the last three months of the year are packed with holidays, special dinners and seasonal treats. Starting with Halloween candy and ending with Christmas fudge, many people find that they’re packing on more pounds during this period than they do any other time of year.

Joining a gym is an excellent way to combat Halloween and holiday weight gain. Finding a good gym to join now will not only help keep off those holiday pounds, but will even make you slimmer by New Years.

If you are thinking about losing weight this year, consider a disturbing statistic. For every twenty people who successfully lose the weight they desire, only one will actually keep the weight off over the long term. The problem in maintaining a healthy weight comes before the first trip to the scale is ever made.

The mistake that so many dieters make is in selecting a program for weight loss that will bring the quickest results possible, instead of hunting for a diet for weight control. This is precisely why so many of the fad diets on the market today make astronomical sales figures and then disappear forever. While many of these plans will deliver on a little bit of quick weight loss, few have the substance to follow through in meeting your full weight loss goal, and most will offer little guidance on how to keep the weight off for good.

It is a simple fact of life that the most effective weight loss diet will also be the best weight control eating plan for you. Instead of thinking in terms of a nutritional plan that will greatly restrict and limit your variety of food choices, you must work to develop a program of healthy eating that will become the menu that you adopt for life.

While this may seem like a big bite to chew on, consider the fact that healthy eating brings a multitude of benefits to your body and mind that go well beyond weight loss and maintenance. Every system in your body will thank you for feeding it with a healthy diet by looking and feeling their absolute best.

Weight Control Diets that Work are Slow and Steady

When you make the decision that you are going to lose weight, the best method to choose is one that will bring a slow and steady weight loss that will eventually meet your goals. Diets that promise to knock off the pounds quickly will be impossible to stick with over the long term.

Many will leave you feeling hungry at times, and will force you to give up too many foods that you enjoy. If you select a weight control eating plan that is heavy in the fresh fruits and vegetable and light on the high fat, foods, you will find a plan that will be yours for life. It is not easy at first to learn to trade that muffin in the morning with an egg and whole wheat toast, or to trade that dish of ice cream with a bowl of fresh fruit, but in time it will become much easier to make the healthy choices.

Exercise Is No Exception

Here is another part of the weight loss program that will be most effective if it is done gradually. Instead of deciding that you will spend 90 minutes huffing and puffing at the gym every day, commit yourself to a 20 minute walk outdoors each day. Once you learn how enjoyable those 20 minutes can be, you will be much more inclined to increase the amount of your physical activity. However, if you start out by setting extreme and unrealistic fitness goals for yourself, your plan will fizzle before you take a whole lot of trips to the gym.

Weight control eating plans require a plan that is easy to implement and easier to follow. Relearn your food habits by incorporating more healthy choices into your daily menu, and a reduction of the bad foods will be a natural result. Start out with an exercise program that will be easy for you to stick with, and you will be much more likely to be enjoying the positive results a year or two later.

It is only partly about losing the pounds. The rest of the story is all about keeping that weight off with an effective weight control diet, so that you look and feel good for life. The tortoise knew what he was talking about; slow and steady wins the race.

Did the title of this article “Lose weight by having sex” attracted your attention? It is not as if you needed any more motivation to jump into bed with your partner isn’t it?

A recent research has shown that by having sex three times a week can burn as many calories as running 30 miles per week. This is indeed good news for people who wants to lose weight easily. However, this can certainly be bad news for people without a sexual partner or someone whose partner who is repulsed by the idea of having sex so often.

Some experts believe that sex in a loving relationship has a healing effect on the body and mind, however promiscuous sex will have an opposite effect probably arising from guilt. That is good news for loyal devoted couples, don’t you think so?

Having sex, just like when you are exercising produces endorphins and prostaglandins hormones. These hormones not only provide you with a great workout but also help to reduce pain levels, relieve stress, boost your immunity system and lower bad cholesterol level. Many doctors believe that by having a healthy sex life, you will live longer and slows down the aging process.

Maximize your weight loss, so that you can lose weight faster by working out at the gym and jumping into bed more often with your partner. Engaging in an active lifestyle is one of the biggest boosters for your sexual prowess. The more fit you are, the better and fun your sex life will be because you will be more flexible and do not tire as easily.

A research conducted at the Harvard School of Public Health concluded that men, who exercise vigorously for 20 to 30 minutes a day, were about half as likely to have erectile problems as inactive men. Isn’t this another great reason for you to hit the gym more regularly?

Here are some juicy bits for the ladies. Researchers at the University of Texas at Austin studied 35 women, ages 18-34. On two separate occasions, the women first watched a short travel film followed by an abbreviated X-rated film while cycling. Researchers calculated their sexual response and discovered that the women’s vaginal responses were 169 percent greater after exercising.

Do you know that losing weight, quitting smoking or drinking alcohol will not improve sexual functions the way exercising does? Here are sexual problems caused by a lack of fitness level :-

a) Low sex drive
b)Having difficulty with arousal
c)Unable to have an orgasm
d)Pain when having and after sex

Why do you need to lose weight and exercise regularly for better sex? The reasons are as follows :-

a) For enthusiastic and loving sex, you will need to work on your cardio endurance so that you have the stamina and your sexual activities can last longer. When your sexual activity is prolonged, more calories are being burnt and you will lose weight easier and faster.

b)You may find yourself holding, contorting unusual sexual positions for some time, so exercises for building strength and flexibility can be a plus to more pleasurable sex.

c)Losing weight and muscle conditioning will help you to avoid cramps when you are in something as pleasurable as having sex.

d)Weight loss and flexibility will make it a lot more easier to get into your favorite position with a minimum fuss. With increased flexibility weight loss, you can easily explore new positions that seemed impossible before when you were overweight.

I have always advocated that to lose weight healthily, we have to combine weight resistant exercises with cardio exercises and have a healthy weight loss diet plan. Now it seems that I have to throw in an active sex life into this equation for a healthy weight loss program.

Now, will somebody please switch off the light, I am starting my easy weight loss program right now.

Weight training makes a person healthy, fit and strong. It is not just for people who want to build muscle, but for everyone who likes to stay fit and keep the excess weight off.

If you want to get in shape or stay in shape you can walk, run or cycle every morning, play sports with friends, but if you want to have muscles and look lean, then lifting some weights either at the gym or at home is your best bet.

People go to the gym for many reasons. eg:

To lose a few pounds if they are overweight.

To gain a few pounds (of muscle) if they are underweight.

To get fit and Healthy.

To get strong.

The most effective exercise plan for most should have some cardiovascular work and mostly weight training exercises. This helps burn calories and increase the muscle to fat ratio better than cardiovascular work alone.

Some Benefits of Weight training:

1. It is the best way to maintain and improve ones health from a variety of diseases and premature death.

2. It makes a person feel better and increases ones self confidence, prevents depression, anxiety

and gloom.

3. A weight training lifestyle helps a person live longer than an inactive person.

4. It instils discipline into a person, making other things in life easy.

5. It makes one stronger physically and mentally.

To start: one should consult a physician to get the go ahead and then get into it gradually.

Getting stronger, fitter, healthier week by week building up more endurance will be of great benefit to you.

Aim for 3 or 4 days a week working out, this is sufficient no matter what your goals are.

Maintain a reasonable diet.

You could consult with a professional to get an excellent eating plan to match your goals and gym

activities. They will evaluate you based on your needs, and recommend a diet plan.

A good diet should have nutrients from all the food groups.

This is made up by 3 basic groups.

The first is carbohydrates. The energy source. The food that a person consumes should have vitamins, minerals and some fiber. A lot of this comes from oats, rice, potatoes, cereals and breads, and also from vegetables and fruits since these have phytochemicals, enzymes and micronutrients that are essential for a healthy diet.

The Second is Protein. The building blocks of muscle and essential organs. This comes from fish, chicken, red meat and dairy. Protein is broken down in the body to form amino acids for repair and

growth of new cells.

The third is fat. The body’s enemy, according to most. There are 4 types of fat: Saturated (the bad) from animals, the more animal fat you consume the higher your blood cholesterol will rise, increasing the risk of a malfuntion in the body.Should be taken in small quantities.Sources are: Beef, dairy, coconut oil.

Polyunsaturated (the good) Comes from plants, reduces blood cholesterol. Sources are: nuts, fish, safflower oil, seeds, corn oil and sunflower oil.

Monounsaturated (the best) also comes from plants, raises the good cholesterol.Sources are: Avocado,

olive oil, olives, nuts, canola oil and peanut butter.

Trans fats (the ugly) This is relatively new, the effects are unknown, it is believed that they behave like saturated fat (the bad) causing blood cholesterol levels to rise.

The consumption of fats (the good fats) is important for our health. They are used in the production of hormones and other activities. We do need some fat, but do limit the bad.

A great way to help your efforts in the gym is to give up some detrimental habits such as smoking and drinking alcohol. Smoking damages the lungs and dramatically increases the risk of lung cancer along with other diseases. Excessive drinking has also been shown to causes major diseases.

These two habits are definitely not worth having around.

The best thing one can do for themselves is to quit any destructive habits they have and get into that gym, start pumping some iron and look forward to greater Health and Fitness.
